Benjamin's preparations for this race have not been without hurdles! After facing several technical setbacks (part of his boat's keel was damaged) and testing his resilience and capacity to handle contingencies, the alumnus is on the starting line for the Transat CIC, a qualifying race for the Vendée Globe. Despite these obstacles, he is now ready to set sail, with his boat fully equipped and optimised for this arduous ordeal.
Expected arrival in New York between 10 and 13 May
Once in New York, the boat will remain moored for 36 to 48 hours at the One 15 Marina in Brooklyn. The stay will then continue at the Newport Marina to prepare for the return convoy, planned around 20 and 21 May. This significant event for Benjamin Ferré represents a critical milestone in his preparation for the ultimate challenge — the 2024 Vendée Globe.
