The evening kicked off with a warm welcome, followed by an address from Dr. Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA. She expressed her gratitude to SKEMA China community and introduced 2 special guests who are accompanying SKEMA from the very beginning of our adventure in China, Mrs. Annick de Kermadec-Bentzmann, Honorary President of the French Chamber, and Mrs. Caroline Penard, General Manager of the French Chamber.
Strong Development in China
Dr. Alice Guilhon celebrated SKEMA strong development in China, noting the establishment of the Suzhou campus in 2009, which welcomes international students, and the Nanjing campus, knows as International Joint Audit Institute and jointly founded with Nanjing Audit University in 2020, accommodating 1,200 Chinese students each year.
She also highlighted the success of the XJTU-SKEMA joint master’s programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with a focus on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Management, which has seen 240 Executive students and graduates to date.
SKEMA China’s educational collaborations has gone far beyond this. Executive Education programmes go through steady expansion, featuring degree offerings like the EMBA for Saint-Gobain and non-degree joint certificates with CCI France Chine for example. Meanwhile, the school launched its first Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in sustainability, underscoring its commitment to responsible business practices.
Further Glocalization
The achievements of SKEMA China are growing out of the thriving development of the school itself, Dr. Alice Guilhon mentioned the school’s latest ranking as the 5th best business school in France by Le Parisien, its new AI center, and the recent opening of the 9th campus in Dubai.
The celebration concluded with a cocktail reception, where nearly 100 attendees shared their career development and entrepreneurial success stories. Another 15 years of SKEMA China’s ambitious history is to be written within the vibrant community.
