Denis Beau, Deputy Governor of the Banque de France, to deliver a lecture on the Grand Paris campus
On Tuesday, 19 November at 6:30 pm, the student association PourParlers Paris will have the honour of hosting Denis Beau, First Deputy Governor of the Banque de France, for an exclusive lecture at SKEMA Business School's Grand Paris campus.
A major player in finance, monetary policy, and the guardian of financial stability, the Banque de France is a cornerstone of France's economic and financial system. On 19 November, Denis Beau will share his insights on current economic and financial challenges in connection with recent developments. This lecture presents a unique opportunity for SKEMA students and guests to deepen their understanding of contemporary economic issues and benefit from the perspectives of a key figure in French monetary policy.
Who is Denis Beau?
Denis Beau graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD. He joined the Banque de France in 1986 as a financial analyst in the Central Balance Sheet Data Office. Over the course of his career, he has held various management roles within the Capital Markets Directorate and the Payment Systems and Market Infrastructure Directorate.
In 2011, he was appointed Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Financial Stability and Operations (DGSO), becoming its Director General in 2012. Named Second Deputy Governor on 1 August 2017, he was promoted to First Deputy Governor on 17 January 2018 and was reappointed to this position on 12 January 2024.
