Students from SKEMA Business School's MSc Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation (AIBT) program secured a remarkable second place at the annual Google Cloud Hackathon. Held at Google’s Paris headquarters, this prestigious event brought together 26 teams from 17 top French engineering schools. The hybrid team, SKESIA—a collaboration between SKEMA and ESIEA (a leading engineering school specialising in digital technologies)—emerged as a standout performer.

The SKESIA team comprised five students, including two from SKEMA and three from ESIEA. Among them, Jeffrey Lima, a student from SKEMA’s Master in Management (PGE) programme and the MSc AIBT, explained the vision behind their project: "Our solution is an educational video game that personalises students' learning paths through the power of Vertex AI, Google Cloud’s machine learning platform, and Gemini. With this approach, we are not merely solving a problem; we are rethinking education for future generations."

Artificial Intelligence Driving Positive Societal Impact

The MSc AIBT program, led by Professor Francis Wolinski, exemplifies a groundbreaking academic partnership between SKEMA and ESIEA. Designed to equip students with both technical and managerial skills, the programme enables participants to harness the transformative power of AI while understanding its operational boundaries. Through a curriculum delivered by leading experts from both institutions, students gain hands-on experience in programming, IT infrastructure, and AI management.
