Researchers at SKEMA Business School continue to make significant contributions to their respective fields, with high-impact publications and meaningful research projects. These achievements highlight the excellence of the school’s academic and research centres. Here’s an overview.
Leading Contributions to Research
- Ludovic Dibiaggio, Professor at the Transformation Academy and member of the Knowledge, Technology and Organization (KTO) research centre, co-authored the article "Emotional Brightness and Crowdfunding Performance", published in Research Policy. This study examines the role of emotions in crowdfunding success, shedding light on how emotional dynamics influence entrepreneurial funding.
- Francesco Castellaneta, Professor at the Innovation Academy and member of the KTO research centre, co-authored "The Indirect Effect of Entrepreneurship on Pay Dispersion: Entry Cost Reduction, Mobility Threat, and Wage Redistribution Within Incumbent Firms", published in Organization Science. The paper investigates how entrepreneurship indirectly affects wage distribution within established firms.
- Thi Thanh Huong Tran, Assistant Professor at the Innovation Academy and member of the Marketing Interactions (MINT) research centre, co-authored the study "Consumers' Responses to Moral Transgressions in the Fashion Industry: Comparative Insights from Western Developed and Southeast Asian Emerging Markets", published in the Journal of Business Ethics. This research explores consumer reactions to ethical breaches in the fashion industry, comparing Western developed markets with Southeast Asian emerging markets.
- Bernardo Pagnoncelli, Professor at the Digitalisation Academy and member of the SKEMA Centre for Analytics and Management Science, published "Ranking and Contextual Selection" in Operations Research, providing new insights into ranking mechanisms and contextual selection processes.
- Margherita Pagani, Professor at the Digitalisation Academy and Director of the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence, co-authored "How AI Changes Partner Collaboration", published in the MIT Sloan Management Review. The paper examines the impact of artificial intelligence on partner collaboration.
Notable Distinctions
- Maria Olmedilla Fernandez, Professor at the Digitalisation Academy and member of the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), and Ali Özkes, member of the Digitalisation Academy and KTO research centre, have both been awarded their HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches).
- Isabelle Walsh, Emeritus Professor at the Digitalisation Academy and member of the SCAI research centre, co-authored "BIBGT: Combining Bibliometrics and Grounded Theory to Conduct a Literature Review" with Frantz Rowe. This article was recognised as a finalist for the Best Paper Award by the Association for Information Systems Grounded Theory Methodology.
