Resumo
This paper first suggests that social responsibility processes, as other processes, can create knowledge. Then, it develops the idea that, as they question the profit-oriented purpose and values of the organization, CSR-related processes engage the organization in the production of specific knowledge which can deeply modify its activity, business model, and innovation strategy. The theoretical contribution anchors social responsiblity more firmly into a resource-based view of the firm.
