As part of the Master of Science in Project Management for Business Development, students recently had the opportunity to present their work during a highly anticipated final project presentation session, organised in front of a jury of industry professionals. This event marked the culmination of the Project Practice Portfolio course, a cornerstone of the programme, and provided a hands-on learning experience that blended theory, strategy, and tangible outcomes.

Throughout the semester, students were challenged to apply their knowledge by developing and managing real projects, taking on various roles within simulated organisations. These projects, grounded in project and portfolio management principles, showcased their ability to lead complex and structured initiatives.

Paul Gardiner, Director of the MSc Project Management for Business Development, explained the philosophy behind this pedagogical approach.

We expect students to put their knowledge into practice by undertaking real projects, managed using the project and portfolio management skills acquired throughout the programme. These projects bring real benefits to the MSc, to SKEMA, and even to the wider community.

The final presentation day proved both challenging and rewarding. Students presented the results of their work, strategic decisions, and key learnings in front of a jury of professionals from various sectors. These experts provided constructive feedback and advice, helping students prepare more effectively for their transition into the professional world.

This exercise allowed students to demonstrate their leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and ability to adapt under pressure. It perfectly embodies the pedagogical approach of the Master of Science Project Management for Business Development, which is focused on experiential learning, and prepares future graduates to thrive in complex, fast-paced professional environments.
