OneID student club wins esport championship
SKEMA Business School's OneID association, which promotes the use of new technologies among students, distinguished itself at the prestigious Esport Competition for Business Schools (CESEC), a tournament featuring several prestigious institutions. Students from the Grand Paris, Sophia Antipolis, and Lille campuses were present.
In this competition, the teams, each comprising about forty players, faced off in nine different games: Valorant, Clash Royale, League of Legends, FIFA, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, general culture and chess challenges, as well as the popular Rocket League. The SKEMA team, proudly represented by OneID (Lille campus) and SKYTEK (Grand Paris campus), demonstrated a variety of exceptional skills.
The group, composed of players from Lille and Sophia Antipolis, M1 students and those on a gap year, brilliantly concluded the championship phase at the top of the ranking, with an impressive record of 10 victories and no defeats. This flawless performance enabled them direct enter the semi-finals.
Final in Nantes
Facing a formidable opponent, they won the crucial semi-final stage, which opened the doors to the final in Nantes. Everyone was pumped up for the final weekend, and the students went to the competition venue with a clear objective: to maintain their invincibility and win the title. After a fiercely contested final, they managed to clinch the victory.
