SKEMA Entrepreneurship Summit: how confident are current entrepreneurs?

The third edition of the SKEMA Entrepreneurship Summit will be held on 16 March on the Grand Paris campus. This year, the theme of the summit is "2023: are entrepreneurs still confident?" The event, organised by SKEMA in partnership with Challenges magazine and the OpinionWay polling institute, will be broadcast on Challenges' website and will focus on positive impact entrepreneurs.

A few months ago, SKEMA Business School published of the confidence index of entrepreneurs (Indice de la Confiance des Créateurs - ICC), which measured the confidence of 800 entrepreneurs who have created their startup. Philippe Chéreau, director of SKEMA Ventures, and Pierre-Xavier Meschi, professor of strategy at SKEMA, will share the results of their analysis along with Stéphane Lefebvre, deputy managing director of the OpinionWay institute, and Gaëlle Macke, deputy editor of Challenges, during the Entrepreneurship Summit at the Grand Paris campus.

Four alumni to discuss entrepreneurial confidence

Later in the morning, the presentations of professors Chéreau and Meschi on entrepreneurial confidence will be complemented by the experiences of four entrepreneurs supported by SKEMA. Moderated by Gaëlle Macke, the debates will include Alexandre Bellity (SKEMA PGE, class of 2011), founder of Cleany, specialised in eco-responsible cleaning, Christelle de Châlus (SKEMA PGE, class of 2004), founder of the upcycled cosmetics brand Ensème, Justine Thiriez, founder of Slowmod, and Antony Giordano (SKEMA PGE, class of 2017), co-founder of the street food restaurant chain Père et Fish.

Pitch competition and startup fair

In the afternoon, the Entrepreneurship Summit will focus on social impact entrepreneurship through a startup fair and a pitch competition. A €15,000 prize will be shared between the four winners of the pitch competition. One of the 4 prizes will be awarded by SKEMA Transitions, the global hub dedicated to socio-ecological transition and responsible management at SKEMA Business School. A panel of experts led by SKEMA Ventures will judge the pitches:
