Disability Week: several activities planned on SKEMA's three French campuses
From 14 to 18 November, the European Disability and Employment Week will be held on SKEMA’s Lille, Sophia Antipolis and Grand Paris campuses. On this occasion, several workshops are being organised by the Innovation and Learner Experience department, the SKEMA Human Resources department and the Student Office, aimed at students, professors and SKEMA employees.
Several temporary spaces will also be available on the three campuses dedicated to awareness-raising games, goodies, and other information related to the week's theme.
Virtual reality workshop "Good Morning VR"
How can virtual reality transform the daily lives of people with disabilities? To answer this question, the DILE will offer SKEMA employees, professors, and students the opportunity to put on a virtual reality headset on, to get an overview of the new applications available to transform the daily lives of people with disabilities and how they may evolve in the future. "Good morning VR" is a weekly event offered by the Innovation and Learner Experience department in the SKEMA Lab.
It enables students to discover the fields of application of virtual reality through various applications.

The "Handispensables" and "Handi Situations" games
To raise awareness among the student community about the reality of disability, the Innovation and Learner Experience department will hold a workshop throughout the week based on the game "Les Handispensables", which will enable students to learn about all physical, visual, auditory, psychic, invisible, mental, and cognitive disabilities.
Les Handispensables, 15 November, 10.30-11.30 am.
This game will be offered at the SKEMA Learning Labs :
- Creative room on the Grand Paris campus,
- La Fusée on the Lille campus, and at the
- Ambulatory on the Sophia Antipolis campus.
A "Handi Situations" game will also be organised on 17 November, from 10:30am to 11:30am, and will encourage the participants to think about and discuss a co-constructive model, on fictitious situations around disability, and debate on the answers to bring in terms of accessibility.

Hearing disability: an awareness workshop
A silent dictation and an explanation of communication for the hearing impaired through lip-reading is planned on the Grand Paris, Lille and Sophia Antipolis campuses. This workshop will offer a presentation of innovations for the deaf and the typical career path of a hearing-impaired employee.

Educational workshops on disability
"How to support students with learning disabilities in online education", 15 November, 12pm - 1pm. Grand Paris campus: Brainroom; Lille campus: D303, KCenter; Sophia Antipolis campus: KCenter and Médiathèque. This workshop is open to students.
Objectives of the workshop:
- Understand the impact of different disability situations in relation to online education
- Identify the contribution of inclusive teaching methods
- Adapting the modalities of online teaching

"How to support students with learning disabilities", 17 November, 12:00-13:00.
In this workshop, participants will be invited to learn about the principles of universal design in education and identify the most common issues faced by students with disabilities. At the end of the session, a brainstorming session with all participants will be organised to study the most appropriate solutions to implement.
