Pink October: SKEMA students raise breast cancer awareness
This year, the students of the HeForShe society decided to organise a drive in conjunction with the "Fake Hair Don't Care" association on the Lille campus of SKEMA Business School. In Sophia Antipolis, the Bureau des Arts society is organising a show for charity with the aim of donating funds to the Octobre Rose/Pink October society, which fights against breast cancer. On the Grand Paris campus, students will be selling cupcakes, the profits of which will be donated to the fight against cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in France and is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women. However, if detected early, breast cancer is cured in 90% of cases, according to the Ligue contre le cancer. To support patients and improve their daily lives, several SKEMA student societies are working together.
