SKEMA’s Suzhou campus welcomes MBA students from YUFE China
On 24 August, the International Study Week co-organised by Business School of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE), a university in southwest China, and SKEMA Business School, concluded successfully. The short-term programme attracted more than 30 participants.
SKEMA launched the International Study Week programme at its Suzhou campus to make MBA students from YUFE get plugged in and feel at home worldwide. It gathered SKEMA experts and professors from various fields. The multi-dimensional programme modules enabled students to attain a wide range of knowledge, including leadership, team management, Fintech, international e-commerce strategy, behavioural decision-making, etc. "The professors broadened our horizons and eliminated the stereotypical thinking we used to have," says MBA student Dongmei Pan.
Students fully engaged
During the five days, the students were fully engaged, particularly into the Capstone Project. All group members were required to make a presentation about the analysis of SHEIN, one of the fastest growing international e-commerce platforms from China. "Our presentation on the last day was well designed and logically organised. I am happy that it impressed the professors and all our classmates," says one group member from the winning team. Students developed their practical skills and analytical ability during the International Study Week. Many of them attended the international classes for the first time.
"I felt it was as fantastic as a study-abroad trip"
Another participant Jiale Huang says, "Although the short-term programme took place Suzhou, I felt it was as fantastic as a study-abroad trip." SKEMA's advanced business teaching philosophy impressed all the students from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. More International Study Weeks like this are expected to be held in the future, furthering the reputation of SKEMA China as a hub for cutting-edge business education within China.
