MSc Sustainable Finance & Fintech cited in WWF France survey
The WWF France association and the student initiative "Pour Un Réveil Ecologique" (For an Ecological Awakening) have published a survey that looks at the environmental and ecological transition in the finance courses offered in French "grandes écoles" (elite schools/universities). With its MSc Sustainable Finance & Fintech, SKEMA Business School is one of the 10 schools surveyed – a notable indicator of its credibility in this area.
To find out what learners expect in terms of ecological transition in finance courses, the WWF and the "Pour Un Réveil Ecologique" initiative questioned 500 students as part of a large-scale survey launched throughout France. While the survey revealed a high level of awareness of the issue of ecological transition among students, it also revealed that their overall knowledge of the issue fell short.
SKEMA: a credible player in sustainable finance training
In this 30-page survey, SKEMA is listed among the business schools interviewed, which demonstrates SKEMA's credibility as a player in sustainable finance education. The , launched this year, trains students in green and sustainable finance.
While the first class consisted of around 30 students, the next one will be larger, with 80 students, an indicator of the attractiveness of this programme, says Dhafer Saidane, the programme's director. "We do a lot of partnerships with stakeholders in the financial sector to adjust the training in sustainable finance. These programmes need to be updated regularly. We are training for jobs that are in the process of being defined," he explains in the WWF France x Pour Un Réveil Ecologique survey.
