Guest professionals from relevant companies in technology spoke at SKEMA Tech, an event organised by BBA students at SKEMA Brazil.
As part of the Technology, Society & Environment course, taught by Professor Igor Dias, students of the BBA Year 2, promoted an event on technology: SKEMA Tech. The challenge was to address the three pillars of SKEMA through the proposed activities: innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.
Thus, SKEMA Tech was born: a morning of lectures for all students. The first edition included the special participation of several relevant professionals in the sector: Nathália Domingues (accessor to the Executive Coordination at CTIT); Daniel Gonzalez (CEO at HubSocial); Bruno Pimentel (head of Development & Innovation at Samarco) and Juliana Saliba (technology hunter/startup at BiotechTown). A common point in the presentations was the relationship between schools and companies and the way in which innovation is a consequence of this proximity.
Students organised everything
The students organised everything: from the concept of the event to contacting the speakers, while developing relevant skills for their professional lives. In addition, at the end of each lecture, students were able to take part with questions and comments. “SKEMA Tech is an event that brought several real examples of everything that was taught during the Technology, Society & Environment discipline”, comments Professor Igor Dias.
