Tuesday 8 March, The International Joint Audit Institute jointly developed by SKEMA and NAU held their first master class.
This programme has a unique focus on the realm of business and management and is particularly suited to first-year and second-year students who have had some degree of academic exposure to economics, finance, accounting, and principle of management.
From Sun Tzu to Steve Jobs
Lima Marcos, director of the SKEMA MSc International Marketing and Business Development on the Lille campus, was invited as the first speaker to deliver a talk titled ‘From Sun Tzu to Steve Jobs: Vision, Strategy and Innovation’. He approached the whole lecture in a pragmatic fashion, using concrete examples from China, the US and Europe, which helped him develop excellent communication and rapport with the students, though they had never met before. Marcos also encouraged students to verbalise their reasoning and posed questions through Wooclap to ensure they had really got to grips with the topic at hand.
"Thought-provoking"
Illustration with up-to-date examples was one of the best received elements of the lecture, and feedback from participants included remarks like:
'Thought-provoking ideas and perspectives, performed with good tutoring techniques, e.g. online interaction, clear outline of what would be covered, enthusiastic and cheerful lecturer.'
Professor Dou Wenyu, academic dean of SKEMA China, concluded the whole event and extended great thanks to Marcos for his work.
