SKEMA’s law students invite you to the Grand Trial Day on 17 March
The students of the double degree in Business Contract Law (SKEMA X Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France) programme invite you to the Grand Trial Day event on 17 March at the Lille campus.
Cinderella, Louis XVI, Father Christmas, and Serge Gainsbourg will be among the defendants who will take the stand on 17 March. Throughout the day, the students of the master's programme, supported by Professor Diane de Saint-Affrique, will have the task of defending imaginary or real personalities in an oratory exercise that is as original as it is complex.
The event, organised in conjunction with the Luxembourg law firm PWC, focuses on oral expression and pleading. "To judge the performances, we are relying on Laurence Briata, a professor of eloquence in Paris, as well as Isabelle Lapeyronie, a lawyer in labour law at the Lille bar," explains Floran Fourcade, a second-year student in the double degree master's programme and a co-organiser of the event, who would like to take the bar exam once he has obtained his degree.
UPHF professors present
Besides professors from SKEMA, the faculty of UPHF, SKEMA's partner for this programme, will also be present.
