BCE exam: SKEMA retains strong appeal among preparatory students

For the fifth consecutive year, SKEMA Business School remained the most favoured business school by students preparing for the Banque Commune d'Épreuves (BCE) (Economics and Social Sciences Competitive Entrance Exam), which accounts for over 71% of SIGEM places.

With 7,748 candidates representing 85.9% of the students preparing for the exam, compared to 84.9% in 2023, SKEMA is once again the most selected business school within the BCE. Specifically, 7,081 candidates were from economic preparatory classes and 667 from literary preparatory classes.

Candidates from literary backgrounds and scholarship holders are on the rise. SKEMA showed a significant increase of 14.4% in literary preparatory classes and 2.2% in economic preparatory classes, resulting in a total increase of 3.2% while the BCE average is 2%. "In addition to a very comprehensive range of courses, the strength of the Master in Management (PGE) lies in its semester structure and discipline-specific approach from the first year, allowing for a tailored and limitless experience. This includes guaranteed access to international mobility without additional tuition fees," stated Patrice Houdayer, director of programmes, international and student life, and Denis Boissin, director of the Master in Management (PGE) at SKEMA Business School.

Scholarship candidates are also choosing SKEMA, with an increase of 8.1% from students coming from the economic track and 27.4% from the literary track, resulting in a clear rate of 29.1% of scholarship holders.
