Inclusion and diversity in finance at the heart of SKEMA Finance's upcoming conference
The finance student association of SKEMA Business School, SKEMA Finance, in partnership with the student newspaper Pourparlers and the think tank Têtu-Connect, is organising a conference on Inclusion and Diversity in Finance, on 23 November.
The event will begin with an introductory conference by Nicolas Pirat-Delbrayelle, co-founder of BNP Pride and diversity & inclusion consultant-expert at Têtu-Connect, aimed at contextualising the discussion on inclusion and diversity in the world of finance. This introduction will be followed by a round-table dedicated to the challenges of inclusion and diversity in the professional world, with a focus on LGBT diversity in finance. The conference will feature four prominent speakers from various sectors, including Têtu-Connect, BNP, Banque Populaire du Nord, and AXA:
- Benjamin Buissen: Structured finance business manager in Lille, BNP Paribas.
- Catherine Debaecker: Recruitment and career management head, Banque Populaire du Nord BPCE.
- Virginie Ducrocq: HR business partner, AXA North-East region.
- Nicolas Pirat-Delbrayelle : diversity & inclusion consultant-expert for Têtu Connect.
These personalities, actively engaged in their respective organisations, will share their experiences and highlight the importance of these themes through concrete examples. "The aim of this event is to raise student awareness about diversity and inclusion in the professional world, especially on the LGBT+ theme, and particularly in finance. It also aims to show that these subjects can be approached serenely and are an integral part of the professional realities students will face," explained Victor Charpignon, an M1-year student in the Master in Management (PGE) programme and an organiser.
SKEMA Finance invited to Investir Day
As a recognised student association, members of SKEMA Finance are invited to participate in the next edition of Investir Day, on 28 December, at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris. "Conferences with exceptional guests such as Bruno Le Maire will be held throughout the day, and will end with an evening where students can discuss more informally with finance professionals. New members of SKEMA Finance Lille, Paris, and Sophia Antipolis are encouraged to attend the day," said Victor Charpignon.
This event will be held in french, on 23 November at 5:00 pm in the Amphi B of the SKEMA Lille campus.
