BCE 2023 exam: SKEMA strengthens its appeal among preparatory class students

For the fourth consecutive year, SKEMA Business School has emerged as the most popular school for preparatory students, despite a drop in registrations for the banque commune d’épreuves - BCE (common test bank) exam.

More than 7,500 preparatory students, representing 85% of the candidates for the BCE exam, chose to apply to SKEMA this year, which places the school at the top of the list of choices for preparatory students. "We reaffirm our support and attachment to the preparatory classes model, and are delighted with the trust that preparatory students have placed on us by making us the most popular school again this year," says Patrice Houdayer, director of programmes, international and student life.

Scholarship applicants and literary students on the rise

Among its fellow schools, SKEMA has the highest number of scholarship students, with 1,848 candidates applying for it. In addition, this year, the school's appeal to students from literary preparatory classes increased by 10%, with 583 candidates opting for SKEMA.

The preparatory classes remain the main recruitment source for the Master in Management (PGE) programme. "The preparatory class route remains both the main recruitment route and the one on which the PGE is based in terms of content. At the start of the 2023 academic year, five out of every six students in the first year of the PGE programme will come from a preparatory class," explains Denis Boissin, director of the SKEMA PGE programme.

A unique range of courses that continue to evolve

Guaranteed international mobility, available from the first year with no additional tuition fees, combined with an academic continuum that capitalises on the achievements of the preparatory classes and the development of hybrid courses leading to double and triple degrees with excellent academic institutions in France and around the world, provides students with an added value to their course that is unparalleled in higher education.

Among the school's recent and strong initiatives that have contributed to the renewed interest in preparatory classes is the launch of SKEMA's School of Geopolitics, which joins the AI School for Business and the Law School for Business.
