Class of 2017-18 "The combination of theory and practice is one of the strong pillars of the MSc. This is underlined by the dynamic exchange with the Sophia Antipolis entrepreneurial ecosystem. Students were challenged to apply the fundamentals taught in the classroom with local entrepreneurs, companies, and investors (and, of course, among the students themselves). Networking was built in from day one, and entrepreneurship was experienced daily. Innovation is a fascinating topic, and this programme is the right one for those who want to dig deep into it. I'm now working in the venture capital industry. I'm the co-founder of Circle Ventures, an investment and acceleration platform helping Brazilian deep-tech startups solve key problems of the main global value chains." July 2019 update from Pedro on his company: “Circle has reached over US$ 150k in gross revenues, mostly coming from our investment project with Tarpon Investimentos, one of Brazil's largest private equity firms with over US$ 4 billion AUM. Circle has capitalised on its founders’ track record in venture capital and the agfood sector to structure and co-manage the $10 billion AgFood Fund alongside Tarpon. With over US $20 million in committed capital, 10b will be focused on scaling up agtech and foodtech innovations that are helping change the Brazilian agriculture sector, focusing on deep system investing in five to eight key agfood verticals, such as precision dairy farming, biological pest control, direct-to-consumer, etc.
