MSc Product Management & UX Design

By joining an MSc, students obtain a master of science degree and the "Diploma of Specialised Studies in International Management" (DESMI), a degree approved by France's Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (master's level. More info - text in French).

Double degree combining business, technology, design and social sciences skills

Programme taught in English on the SKEMA Paris (in fall) and POLIMI Graduate School of Management, Milan (in spring) campuses: September intake.

In a client-centric organisation, the user experience is at the heart of digital strategy. Designing valuable, viable and simple products is a must-have considering the explosion of digital platforms (apps/web).

This MSc will combine:

A business, tech, and marketing approach (at SKEMA) to build and manage products.
A business, design and tech approach (at POLIMI Graduate School of Management and POLI. design) to serve the user experience and interface design.

The programme is designed to teach you the entire process of creating, designing, discovering, delivering, and managing products whether digital or physical. Partnerships with relevant companies will ensure a balanced programme with a mix of theory and practice.

By the end of the master, you will benefit from:
Technical skills and knowledge
You will gain expertise in the creation and management of a digital product. Working on real projects, you will apply operational skills in various domains such as marketing, tech/IT, design, business.
Expertise in managing teams and communicating with stakeholders
You will work in teams and with experts improving communication, negotiation, and management skills.
Advanced knowledge in product management tools
You will be able to work on the tools of the product management and UX design industry (prototyping, design, tech, data…) and learn the accurate methodology used in the business (Agile). By the end of the year, you will have had hands-on experience with professional skills.
Professional network
You will attend product management and UX design industry conferences and professional presentations to grow your network.

Requirements - Two-Year MSc:

Eligible to apply: students who hold a three-year university degree or equivalent.
Students will be required to reach the necessary level for the MSc before moving to year two.

Requirements - MSc (one-year):

Eligible to apply: students who hold a four-year university degree or equivalent + two months minimum of professional experience
In some cases, a three-year degree with substantial professional experience can be accepted.

Other tests

GMAT/GRE is not mandatory, however a good score strengthens the application.

NB: Foreign, and non-EU, students who graduate with a CGE-accredited degree in France, can now find work more easily under a new French law.

*Candidates with an Indian bachelor's degree are eligible for the one-year MSc if they have more than three years of work experience and for the two-year MSc if they have less than three years of work experience.

The selection is in two parts:

Eligibility: online application
A selection committee examines the application submission taking into account the candidate's qualifications and professional experience.
After submitting their application, candidates applying for the specialisations MSc FMI, GLM, LHI, AIBT, CFM, AMAIS and SFF will have a pre-selection test (Visiotalent) in the online video recording form.
VisioTalent is an automated online recruitment tool that facilitates your admission to SKEMA. This easy-to-use platform will only take 10 minutes of your time to use for your MSc application.
Admission: If the application and the VisioTalent answers are judged satisfactory, candidates undergo an online interview. The interview lasts about 30 minutes.

Successful candidates will be admitted on the basis of the application form and the interview.
