SKEMA’s Belo Horizonte campus, in partnership with the France Alumni Brasil network and with the support of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF), organised a meeting with women entrepreneurs on International Women's Day.
March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day in institutions worldwide, but rather than simply congratulating women, the management of our Belo Horizonte campus decided to invite renowned professionals to share their stories and experiences at an event titled: "Female Leadership: Inspiring Trajectories".
The event brought together six women from various sectors: Jussara de Sousa Machado (executive director of the Franch-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Minas Gerais), Catherine Petit (director of Moët Hennessy Brasil), Mirna Santiago (CFO at Biomm, a biotechnology company), Tania Reis (CEO of Grupo Serpa, an import/export company, and the BRICS Women's Business Alliance) and Virginie Fernandez (CEO of VIF Human Resources Consulting).
Motivational speeches
The guests spoke about their career trajectories, the challenges they faced to progress in their workplace, the importance of education in this process and how they built their professional networks. They also sharing their advice for the younger generation. Additionally, two ambassadors from the France Alumni Brasil network joined the guests to ask questions about education and career-building as women.
