"Metamorphosis" student society promotes small businesses
The Métamorphose (/"Metamorphosis") student society staged a fashion show at SKEMA’s Lille campus, where students put the spotlight on small shops in the Lille metropolis.
The Métamorphose student society fashion show took place 3 March at SKEMA's Lille campus. The idea was to highlight little-known boutiques and clothing designers. "We are working with 11 boutiques and second-hand stores in Lille and its surroundings. These shops usually lend us four to five outfits," says Soukeïna Desgranges, a Master in Management (PGE) programme student and member of the Métamorphose organising committee. She continues: "This project is particularly important to us because it's a way of drawing attention to Lille's shops and promoting fashion. It also helps students to explore new styles and discover new shops. After all, we're not all from Lille!"
For the fashion show, the Métamorphose association "hired" fifty-odd students from the Lille campus. To immortalise the event, the organisers worked closely with PrimeLine Pro, SKEMA's photography and video association, and with Skip the Beat, who managed the music for the event.
