Editors-in-chief of prestigious American journal invited to SKEMA

Charles H. Noble and Jelena Spanjol, editors-in-chief of the American journal "Journal of Product Innovation Management", are the guests of a "Meet the editors" meeting, organised at the Grand Paris campus on 14 January.

"The Journal of Product Innovation Management has a worldwide reputation. This scientific journal offers articles on product management science and remains a leading journal," said Xavier Brusset, director of the PRISM research centre. On 14 January, Charles H. Noble (University of Tennessee) and Jelena Spanjol (University of Munich), renowned scientists in the field of management and editors-in-chief of the journal for the past year, will take the floor to present their publication to the SKEMA faculty members.

"The editors-in-chief will explain the article selection process, as well as the direction they want to give to the journal, to the professors present. They will also engage in a question and answer session," explained Xavier Brusset, who is organising this meeting with Francesco Appio, a professor at SKEMA whose article was published by the Journal of Product Innovation Management in January 2021.

Various topics around product management

From critical analyses, design thinking, study of the links between universities and pharmaceutical research laboratories, to the role of the chief executive officer, the journal offers a wide range of high-quality topics to its readers. To this end, it is one of the scientific publications with a very low article acceptance threshold. "The acceptance process for an article can vary from 1 to 3 years, with several rounds of feedback between the editors and the author. In some cases, it can even take up to five years," said Xavier Brusset, adding: "Any professor targeting innovation can apply to publish in this journal."
