Digital Consulting Week: 330 students work on e-commerce issues
For the fifth consecutive year, Digital Consulting Week offered students of the MS® Marketing Data and e-Commerce the opportunity to work on current issues around e-commerce and data.
For four days, Digital Consulting Week enabled 330 students from the MS® Marketing Data and e-Commerce in Lille and Paris to work in groups, guided by a coach, on concrete business and digital-oriented cases.
This year, 23 companies submitted a problem to be solved, including: BNP Paribas, La Redoute, L'Oréal, Leroy Merlin, Décathlon, Club Med, Cdiscount and Fnac Darty. "Digital Consulting Week helps students to develop their teamwork skills and, more generally, their soft and hard skills," explained Jean-François Detout, director of the MS® Marketing Data and e-Commerce.
Experience on the ground
By solving real problems, students boost their employability, get noticed by companies and improve their skills. "We had to respond to a request from La Redoute, which wanted to improve its relations with its partners and its commercial development through data analysis. After four days of work, we were able to propose an innovative solution covering the entire data value chain as well as a solid data governance plan and a realistic budgeted trajectory," explained Héloïse Godard, an MS student and a winner of the challenge with her team.
Satisfied companies
For the participating companies, Digital Consulting Week is an opportunity to gain an external view of the strategy they are adopting. "It is a powerful moment of exchange between a company and students. The company stands to gain a lot because through an innovative external view, it obtains a different vision of a problem. The students are also involved because for them it's a unique experience in project mode in a very short time, and they receive feedback from professionals," explained Alexandra Pottier, Tools Offer Leader at Leroy Merlin.
