Post-pandemic implications for crisis innovation: A technological innovation view

There is no doubt that the Covid pandemic had a lasting effect on people all over the world. It also gave rise to technological innovation as never before. Then how did these technologies change our lives during and beyond the pandemic? This article provides an overview of some of the key technological changes and of the situation in 2022. Our analysis is based on technologies directly related to the treatment of the virus, as well as on pandemicborn innovations influencing business and beyond. A final conceptual framework considers implications for the theory and practice of technological innovation. Specifically, we identify crisis innovation, defined as innovation carried out in response to a crisis, as a potential emerging line for future research efforts.
