Apprenticeship Tax 2024: Malakoff Humanis places its trust in SKEMA Business School

It’s the time of the year when companies have to decide where to allocate the balance of the 2024 apprenticeship tax. In 2023, over 1,500 companies, including Malakoff Humanis, trusted SKEMA Business School. Wendy Darras, project manager for school relations and employer branding at the group, explains the reasons behind this strategic choice.

Can you tell us a bit about Malakoff Humanis and your involvement in the training and skills development of young people?

Apprenticeship is a strong commitment of the Malakoff Humanis Group. Every year, we recruit an increasing number of apprentices. Joining Malakoff Humanis offers a rewarding experience thanks to our support and the apprentice community. The latter aims at mutual assistance and experience sharing. Our efforts have been recognised for the fourth consecutive year with the Youth Engagement Label, earning the "Best in Class" mention in the "Best Integration Experience" category.

Why did you choose to support SKEMA within the framework of the apprenticeship tax? What motivated Malakoff Humanis' decision?

Malakoff Humanis welcomes and supports more than 360 apprentices each year in various fields such as finance, project management, and marketing. Supporting SKEMA through the apprenticeship tax enables us to develop privileged contacts with a school whose training programmes are tailored to the needs of the Group, both in terms of current and future skills.

How does your company benefit from its partnership with SKEMA?

Malakoff Humanis participates in various events throughout the year to meet, advise, and recruit students. It is in this context that we discussed issues such as disability, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace during two conferences this year.

How does your company work with SKEMA to facilitate student recruitment?

We work with SKEMA on an ongoing basis to find the most engaging actions. We interact with students at events to raise awareness about the Group, our professions, apprenticeship at Malakoff Humanis, and the success stories of our apprentices who enjoy sharing their experiences and answering students' questions.
