Around 240 students join SKEMA’s campus in South Africa

Global BBA, ESDHEM and Master in Management (PGE) programme students started their new academic term at the Stellenbosch campus on 7 February. To welcome them and provide essential information, the SKEMA and University of Stellenbosch teams organised an online presentation.

Since its opening in the spring of 2020, the Stellenbosch campus has welcomed more than 700 SKEMA students from four different programmes: Global BBA, ESDHEM and PGE (M1 and M2), with the PGE forming the largest cohort. For the 2022 spring term, six students from the Global BBA, 195 from M1 PGE and 38 from M2 PGE/MSc programmes have joined the South African campus. This represents a total of 239 students from seven different nationalities.

To help them find their bearings, SKEMA's different heads of programmes – Yan Grasselli (Global BBA), Guillaume Ferrante (PGE M1), Katrina Panchout (PGE M2) and Christophe Dispas (Master of Science) — addressed the students. Amanda Nagele, head of the international department at the Student Office, gave a presentation of the orientation week. Following this, key members of the University of Stellenbosch team presented the departments that are essential for students on the campus: global education centre, registrar, student life and integration.
