EDEN Doctoral Seminar on Paris campus: Perspectives on Sustainability

The EDEN Doctoral Seminar, focused this year on "Perspectives on Sustainability," will be held at SKEMA Business School's Grand Paris campus, from Tuesday, 20 June, to Friday, 23 June. This event adopts a new approach centred on sustainability, reflecting a growing sense of urgency in response to the ever-increasing global uncertainty and complexity. The seminar aims to promote sustainable growth, innovation, and social development by addressing global sustainability problems from ESG perspectives. It will also examin how society can collectively mobilise to solve them.

This year, the EDEN seminar will host international researchers who will share their knowledge and experience on various sustainability-related topics. Among the speakers, Simon Chadwick will deliver a lecture on sports and sustainability. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend presentations and engage with experts on themes such as sustainable supply chain management, infrastructure development, entrepreneurship and sustainability, and project management competencies for a sustainable future.

The seminar, organised under the supervision of SKEMA professors Christian Linder and Paul Gardiner, will take place over four days, with two days of presentations and discussions on sustainability topics, one day reserved for cultural activities (including a visit to Stade de France), and on the last day, a workshop dedicated to paper development.

The event's objective is to stimulate doctoral students and researchers to become agents of change by conducting competent and relevant research on sustainable value, thereby contributing to addressing the sustainability and climate challenges faced by businesses and society today.
