Student society created by SKEMA Brazil students to promote gender equity holds event with entrepreneurs, managers and students.

It is no longer news that it is essential for all organisations to rethink their roles in the struggle for gender equity. A survey by Deloitte (Women at Work 2022) found that 46% of female professionals feel burnt out. It is impossible not to link this data to the double shift many women have to do - working outside and inside the home, which about a third of Brazilian women face (according to IBGE – 2019).

Rested professionals are able to deliver much better performance and actively contribute to their team's and to their organisation's growth.

However, this should not be an exclusively female struggle, in 2014 UN Women launched “He for She” inviting men and boys to promote gender equity too. Several personalities showed their support and actress Emma Watson became an ambassador for the movement.

In the first event conceived by the “He for She – SKEMA Brazil” student society, we were honoured to welcome successful women who built their careers through challenging environments to share their stories and overcome challenges. They were: Luiza Barcelos, who continues the brand created by her mother; Renata Andrade, who together with her sister manages the family's restaurant chain; Mariana Nannetti who studies and researches neuroscience in Spain; our dean Geneviève Poulingue and our teacher Rachel who is a master in marketing and branding. In addition to exchanging experiences, SKEMA Brazil students were able to ask questions and contribute to enrich the debate.
