M&A Contest: when students take on mergers and acquisitions in a real-world simulation
On 20 November, SKEMA Finance, the finance student association, will host an M&A Contest on the Grand Paris campus. This high-level competition gathers students from leading business schools for a merger and acquisition contest, where each team simulates the role of financial advisors to carry out complex transactions under the guidance of industry experts.
The aim of this M&A contest is to enable finance students to propose top-notch merger and acquisition strategies, grounded in meticulous analysis, all under the scrutiny of sector professionals. "We have the privilege of welcoming renowned investment bankers, including several from Lazard, Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank, and Largillière Finance, along with SKEMA alumni such as Raphaël Roch Chardet (SKEMA 2006) from Lazard and Hasnaa Sader (SKEMA 2019) from Crédit Agricole CIB. Their presence allows participants to gain invaluable professional feedback," says Hamza Belkouch, President of SKEMA Finance. This event, emblematic for finance students, presents an opportunity to shine before key figures in the industry. "This visibility is a real asset for raising the profile of our community and our school among partner institutions and within the elite school network," concludes Hamza Belkouch.
