MSc Luxury Hospitality & Innovation study trip: Nice, Cannes, Opio

The MSc Luxury, Hospitality and Innovation trains future managers in the fields of luxury, gastronomy, hospitality and tourism every year. To get a better sense of the realities of the profession, students undertake a study tour in renowned establishments every year.

This year, MSc Luxury Hospitality and Innovation students took part in a study tour from 10 to 12 April on the French Riviera, visiting several establishments in the luxury hospitality field. "We visited the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Nice, the Palais des festivals in Cannes, and finally the Club Med in Opio", said Gérard Reus, Programme Director at SKEMA. Each time, these visits lead to discussions with managers and to case studies. "At the Hyatt, we talked about the hotel, about how some of its activities have changed, about event organization and also about branding", said Gérard Reus.

Discovering the sector as a whole

Thanks to these visits, the students are able to meet professionals in a constantly changing and very varied field. "With the Hyatt Regency, they find out about luxury hotels; with Club Med, it's luxury hospitality and luxury resorts; and with the Palais des festivals in Cannes, they see the leisure and entertainment field."
