The Lunar New Year, as celebrated in China and other east Asian cultures, started this Tuesday, 1 February. As per the Chinese zodiac, 2022 is the year of the water tiger. It is meant to be a year of self-awareness, inviting everyone to respect themselves and others, and exploring new horizons.

For the occasion, SKEMA's mascot, Leon the SKAMELEON, donned his finest attire to celebrate the New Year. On the Grand Paris campus, the student association Kosmopolitans decorated the campus lobby with dragons and lanterns.

On the Lille campus, the Skonnections and DiSKovery associations are organising an evening dedicated to Chinese New Year and are launching a campaign around the event on their social networks. Meetings between students are also planned on the Sophia Antipolis campus.
