SKEMA Brazil welcomes international students for new semester

A special welcome program included the presence of the SKEMA mascot, a capoeira group and the presentation of student associations.

A global educational institution it allows students to live daily with diversity and multiculturalism, in addition to the perspective of international mobility. With this objective in mind, SKEMA Brazil received, on September 5, 2022, 135 international students from 7 nationalities for a new semester. They were greeted with a special schedule and welcome activities.

The Orientation Day was opened by the Dean of SKEMA Brazil, Geneviève Poulingue, welcoming new students and passing on important academic information. Afterwards, the students learned more about the various extracurricular activities, sports, housing and matters related to the student life. To complete the presentations, student clubs from Belo campus produced a video introducing themselves and inviting students to participate in the activities.

There are currently 6 associations involving sports, music, gender equality and more: Atlética, HeforShe, Sustainability Committee, SKEMA Junior, Tempo, SKEMA Ventures. Finally, Major Mirlir Cunha passed relevant guidelines to the students, related to urban safety.

Leon, SKEMA's mascot, was present throughout the event and the students were also able to watch the Capoeira presentation by Grupo Abadá, as a way of getting to know a little more about this Brazilian cultural manifestation.
