December 3, the "Master Class on Sports Industry and Executive Education", was jointly organised by the General Association of Asia Pacific Sports Federations (GAAPSF) and SKEMA Business School. A total of nearly 2,000 joined the event in hybrid mode.
GAAPSF is a non-profit international sports organisation with over 350 international, continental and national federations. This joint event gave SKEMA’s executive education more exposure in China.
Guest speakers’ sharing
After a welcome speech made by the director of SKEMA China, Matthieu Dumont, the keynote about the sports industry and executive education was presented by guest speakers, including Prof. Jian Chi, former dean of Beijing Sports University, Dr Qi Ye, executive secretary of GAAPSF and former vice president of Chinese leading sports brands Li-Ning and Anta, head of executive education SKEMA China Jason Zhu, and Xiangdong Xu, former host of CCTV Finance and founder of EMBA-students-oriented Xuanzang Route Globi Business Chanllenge Race.
The event was part of the Global EMBA in Sports programme (GEMBA), which was launched by SKEMA and GAAPSF last year. “We expect to bring together executives, business talents and professors in the sports industry and enhance their interactions through the programme,” explained Jason.
A transformational journey for experienced leaders
SKEMA's Global EMBA (sports management track) programme, in partnership with GAAPSF, is designed for high-potential, upper-level decision makers to advance their careers. The two-year, part-time programme with 18 modules is delivered through a variety of learning formats combining lectures, case studies, group projects, and business simulations with distance-learning sessions.
