SKEMA Conseil enters New Year 2022 with a record turnover

After a difficult year in 2020, SKEMA’s junior enterprise turned its fortunes round in 2021. SKEMA Conseil ushered in 2022 by recording its highest ever turnover. Its leadership team gave us the lowdown.

Following the arrival six months ago of Marie Trüb as the chair of the group and Claire Marie Mouchous as the vice-chair, SKEMA Conseil recently welcomed three new branch managers at the Lille, Sophia Antipolis and Grand Paris campuses.

The new head of the Sophia Antipolis branch is Clément Possenti, a Grand Ecole programme L3 student. He came to SKEMA after attending preparatory classes at Lycée Adolphe-Thiers in Marseille. Clément said, "I joined SKEMA Conseil to give my L3 year a more concrete meaning and learn as many skills as possible."

Valentine Mazur has taken the reins at Lille. She completed her preparatory classes at Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris and is looking to SKEMA Conseil as a "springboard into work". Valentine, from Provence, is currently in the Grand Ecole programme's L3 year, studying the accounting and audit track. She is aiming for a career in business strategy consulting. At the Grand Paris campus, the new branch manager is Louis Aupy, a Grand Ecole programme finance student.

Turnover up sharply

Between January 2021 and January 2022, SKEMA Conseil recorded a turnover of €275,000, beating the previous record by €5,000. "We completed 125 studies in a year. After a difficult year in 2020 due to the pandemic, we're really pleased with this achievement," said Claire Marie Mouchous. She added: "We have lots going on in terms of business development. We're working on approaching some big groups, but we're also looking at public sector calls for tender as a way of growing our business."

ISO 9001 standard confirmed

SKEMA Conseil was awarded ISO 9001 certification, recognised by customers as proof of service quality, without a single nonconformity. Simultaneously, the JE was awarded a "satisfactory" rating (the highest grade) following an audit by the French National Junior Enterprise Confederation. "The confederation congratulated us on our strategy, leadership, communication and HR policy. This is a first in the history of the SKEMA Conseil Group," said Marie Trüb proudly.

As you may be aware, the JE works with 53 project managers across SKEMA's three French campuses.
