SKEMA student launches Mezopo, an online publishing house

Alexandre Azannê, an MSc Digital Marketing student in the Grande Ecole programme, has developed a social platform with his partners where writers can publish their work and monetise their audience.

After a six-month internship at Doctolib, six months at Frichti as a data analyst and a year's work experience at JC Decaux, Alexandre Azannê decided to try his hand as an entrepreneur online by launching Mezopo, a digital platform dedicated to writers. "I want Mezopo to be a social platform where the writers post their writings and the readers comment," he says.

"Working with publishing houses"

With his website, the student wants to give "new visibility to independent authors, unearth future gems" and enable them to interact directly with their community. "We hope to attract poets, novelists and more generally all writers who want to monetise their audience. We want to work closely with publishers to achieve this," he adds. Alexandre Azannê will be offering a subscription on his platform.

An integrated publishing tool

Thanks to a publishing tool integrated into the website, writers will be able to format their written work directly, like the American blogging platform Medium, designed for long texts that are easy to read on a smartphone or computer screen. Currently in the final development phase, the site is due to be launched in January 2022.
