TEDxSKEMAParis returns with a new edition in October

After a successful first edition in 2021, the second edition of the TEDxSKEMAParis event is being organised on 1 October at the Grand Paris campus. To work on its organisation and start recruiting new speakers, the students have decided to launch SKEDx – a student society specifically for this event.

Led by SKEMA Business School's students, TEDxSKEMAParis is an event organised on SKEMA's Grand Paris campus, in a 300-seat amphitheatre, in the form of "mini-conferences" lasting about 15 minutes each and broadcasted on the TEDx YouTube channel.

This year, the theme chosen by the organisers is 'If they did it, why not you?' All that's left to do now is to recruit the speakers. "We have launched the casting campaign. We are looking for nine speakers, including a SKEMA student and an alumnus/alumna. Volunteers have until 14 May to apply," explains Lucas M'Hadheb, the MS® Project and Programme Management student in charge of recruiting the speakers, pursuing a work-study programme at Chanel.

For the moment, SKEDx has received about twenty applications and hopes to receive several more to choose the right profiles.

To complete the organisation of this high-profile event (the TEDx YouTube channel has around 35 million subscribers), the students decided this year to create the SKEDx association, based at the Grand Paris campus. "There are currently about twenty of us in this association. We are divided into four distinct teams: finance, sales, communication, and speakers. I am in charge of the speakers. I have to recruit them, prepare them for the day and coach them" said Lucas.

If you are a SKEMA student or alumni, you can submit your application using this form.
