BBA students' graduation celebration on SKEMA Raleigh campus

This year, the Raleigh campus celebrated the graduation of its first BBA in International Business class through a US style graduation ceremony.

Twenty-four students with friends and family joined BBA faculty and Raleigh campus staff to celebrate this special milestone.

The ceremony included a welcome speech delivered by SKEMA Raleigh director, Gisa L. Rollin, a touching student address by Brazilian student Maria Antônia Pontes Brandão, an encouraging keynote speech by 2022 alum Leo Garcia, and profound closing remarks by SKEMA associate dean for research, Roland Königsgruber. Per US tradition, following the presentation of the candidates by Raleigh Student Office manager Najette Outtas, students proceeded to turning the tassel on their graduation cap – symbolising the completion of their programme.

Following the ceremony, all attendees gathered at the SKEMA Raleigh campus for a joyful celebration with cake, cupcakes, and macarons.

Prior to spending their last year of the BBA programme in Raleigh, where the International Business specialisation is offered, most graduates had studied abroad on other SKEMA campuses or at partner universities at some point during their four-year studies at SKEMA.
