Brazil campus: geopolitics seminar

April 20, SKEMA Brazil hosted its first geopolitics seminar to explore topics such as migration, refugees, economic blocs, and more. The event featured presentations by international students as well as authorities in the field.
International students presented their final assignments, in Portuguese, and had the opportunity to hear from authorities in the area.
Professor Fernanda Ribeiro started the event by presenting the importance of geopolitics for managers and other professionals in the field of international relations and administration. Then, Joana Lopes, UNHCR protection assistant, addressed issues related to refugees and the efforst of the high commissioner. Finally, Alexandre Brito, business internationalisation consultant at FIEMG, went into more detail about MERCOSUR and gave an overview of their current reality.
According to Prof.essor Fernanda Ribeiro, the event was a “unique and valuable moment for many interesting and necessary exchanges on Brazil’s position on such relevant issues in global geopolitics.”
