On 14 February 2025, Jean-Louis Tertian, State Controller at the French Ministry of Economy and an expert in competitive intelligence, will give a conference at SKEMA Business School’s Grand Paris campus. Organised by the MSc Business Consulting and Digital Intelligence (BCDI), this event will explore the impact of artificial intelligence and data on the sovereignty of nations and businesses.

Titled "Assessing the Sovereignty Trap in a Data-Driven Economy", the conference will examine the historical evolution of sovereignty and the current challenges posed by data dependency. The rise of generative AI is reshaping power dynamics and could limit strategic decision-making independence. Understanding these issues is crucial to avoiding a trap that could restrict our freedom of action.

An Expert in Competitive Intelligence

Jean-Louis Tertian, State Controller at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, will share his expertise on this critical topic. Previously Head of the Competitive Intelligence Department at the same ministry, he is also a Reserve Colonel in the French Air Force and the author of several books on competitive intelligence.
