During this "residential week", they learned that current challenges require leadership that goes beyond technical training.

Recently, SKEMA Brazil welcomed GEMBA participants for their residential week in Brazil. With the aim of preparing leaders to work in global environments with expertise, confidence and a vision of the future, the programme lasts from 20 to 24 weeks.

In their immersion phase, participants experience a "glocal" journey in four different campuses of the institution: Paris (France), Raleigh (USA), Suzhou (China) and Belo Horizonte (Brazil).

In Brazil, they visited large companies, like CEMIG and Localiza, where they learned about ongoing transformation processes and the country's history through a visit to Ouro Preto - MG. In the city, they visited the most important points, ate at a local restaurant and visited the Museu da Inconfidência, in addition to participating in a Brazilian history class.

“I see this immersion as an exemplary opportunity for future leaders to gain practical insight into pressing issues, such as the need to assess ESG issues, or the challenges of driving change within organisations”, says Geneviève Poulingue, dean of SKEMA Brazil.
