Graduate revolutionising fashion with bespoke tailoring
An innovative marketplace with a unique algorithm, Filyou is an online platform that connects consumers to tailors from around the world, making fashion more accessible, fair, and custom-made. Its co-founder, Maryem Mbow, is a graduate of SKEMA’s MSc International Marketing and Business Development programme (2018).
Maryem Mbow's Filyou is an innovative platform that aims to offer consumers an alternative to fast fashion by connecting them with tailors worldwide to create bespoke clothing. Amid its launch, the young woman from Mâcon, Burgundy, has a clear idea of what she wants to achieve. "We hope to position ourselves in the French market, particularly in the events sector. We want to dress brides, bridesmaids, and more generally, people attending ceremonies," explains Maryem Mbow.
The alumna hopes to "integrate this consumption mode into everyone's habits" so that dressing in bespoke clothing becomes a routine for all events. Maryem Mbow won the latest edition of the pitch contest at the SKEMA Entrepreneurship Summit.
