With Ifri, SKEMA adds a new dimension to geopolitics

On 25 January 2024, Alice Guilhon, SKEMA Business School's dean & executive president, and Thomas Gomart, director of Ifri (Institut français des relations internationales ), signed an agreement between their two institutions.

Convinced that geopolitics is a necessary discipline in the training of managers, SKEMA Business School is the first business school to join forces with Ifri to support the production of knowledge and ideas useful to public debate and business management.

This sponsorship agreement opens the door to interactions that SKEMA is particularly interested in through its School of Geopolitics for Business. This includes inviting SKEMA students to Ifri conferences, incorporating Ifri's ideas into geopolitics courses, SKEMA's participation in events organised by Ifri, opportunities to share research topics on international issues, etc.

Since 2017, SKEMA has made geopolitics one of its teaching priorities. As Alice Guilhon, dean and executive president of SKEMA, and Frédéric Munier, director of the School of Geopolitics for Business, point out: "SKEMA wants to go further by becoming a benchmark in geopolitics and contributing to public debate. This partnership with Ifri is a major step in the development of the School of Geopolitics for Business. It will help provide our students with the knowledge they need to become tomorrow's managers".
