At just 19, Léon Séguin-Denis is preparing to take on a challenge that is as physical as it is symbolic: connecting SKEMA Business School’s three French campuses – Lille, Grand Paris and Sophia Antipolis – entirely on foot. The journey begins on 13 April at SKEMA’s Lille campus. His goal? To run 1,400 kilometres – the equivalent of a marathon a day for a month. No shortcuts. No cheating.

A second-year Global BBA student based in Sophia Antipolis, Léon is undertaking this extraordinary feat in support of Les Enfants de la Balle, an organisation promoting inclusion for children with disabilities through sport. Named LINICE, the initiative reflects his long-standing commitment to a cause greater than himself.

Rigorous training behind the scenes

Since September, Léon has been training over 20 hours a week. His routine combines long-distance running with strength training, designed to help him withstand the physical demands of running 45 kilometres a day, every day, for 31 consecutive days. A journey across France – on foot, with no detours.

Supported every step of the way

Throughout the route, Léon will be joined by volunteer runners, sponsors, and an online community following his progress via Instagram (@leon_seguin). Each leg of the journey is open to anyone who wishes to join – whether for a single kilometre, a few hours or a full marathon.

A donation platform is also available, encouraging contributions aligned with the distance covered. The countdown has begun. On 13 April, Léon sets off from Lille, heading south through Paris, all the way to Sophia Antipolis. With every step, a pledge: to keep going, as long as the cause keeps driving him forward.
