Léa Riccoboni (SKEMA 2018): endurance as a calling
A former competitive skier from Alpe d’Huez, SKEMA alumna Léa Riccoboni is now pursuing a career as a professional triathlete. On 27 April, she will line up for IRONMAN 70.3 Lima—another major milestone in her sporting journey, with the support of SKEMA Business School.
From the Alps to the world stage
Léa Riccoboni doesn’t do things by halves. From alpine slopes to long-distance triathlons, her path has always been shaped by commitment and drive. After a high-level skiing career in the French Alps, she joined SKEMA Business School and graduated in 2018 with a double degree: the Master in Management (PGE) and the MSc in International Marketing & Business Development.
An international academic journey
Her academic journey took her from Lille to Curitiba and Raleigh. She completed two international semesters—first in Brazil, then in the United States—and a full gap year at Adidas, working in both Germany and Panama. She went on to build her career with global brands such as L’Oréal, JCDecaux, GLOVO, and Adidas Latin America.
Rising through the triathlon ranks
At the same time, her passion for endurance sport was taking shape. Since 2019, Léa has delivered strong performances: first place in her age group at the IRONMAN World Championship in Nice (2024), a podium finish in Kona (2023), and multiple overall victories across Latin America, including Chile, Peru, Panama, and Argentina.
In January, she competed in the IRONMAN 70.3 Pucón wearing a new emblem on her visor: the SKEMA logo.
“You may have noticed it—I raced the IRONMAN 70.3 Pucón with a new logo on my visor: SKEMA Business School. A new partner supporting me this year in my professional triathlon career,” she shared on LinkedIn.
Next stop: Lima
The next stop is IRONMAN 70.3 Lima, scheduled for 27 April in Peru—one of the key races she has marked in red on her 2025 calendar, alongside Aix-en-Provence, Alpe d’Huez and Marbella. “My academic and professional journey is part of who I am as a person and as an athlete. All these experiences are helping me today, as I start my professional career in triathlon,” she says.
Shared values and long-term goals
Now based in Santiago, Chile, Léa combines her sporting ambitions with her expertise in marketing. She works independently as a consultant with endurance brands, training clubs and event organisers. “The values I share with SKEMA—boldness, the pursuit of excellence, and diversity of experience—have shaped my journey and continue to define my goals as a professional triathlete.”
