Students from over 25 countries just joined the US campus. First step: the SKEMA Raleigh Orientation Week.
On January 9, the SKEMA US staff welcomed all new students and presented a variety of topics to prepare them for a successful semester – information about the academic programmes, campus facilities, career services, student clubs, partnership with the prestigious NC State University, details about the local area, and more. Most importantly, the staff emphasised the assistance and support they can provide to all students for issues ranging from academic questions to homesickness or cultural adaptation.
In between sessions, students were surprised with a beautiful performance of the national US anthem the Star-Spangled Banner, by singer Catina Ray. The next day, the Global Training Initiative welcomed students to NC State University with a presentation on US culture, campus infrastructures, services, and events, and life in the US.
In the afternoon, SKEMA hosted a student club fair to allow new students to learn about the clubs and meet with their members. Clubs are an exciting part of the global SKEMA experience and Raleigh students have quite a wide range of options, with over 700 clubs both at SKEMA and NC State.
