Raleigh campus welcomes new students with a special orientation day
Yesterday, SKEMA's Raleigh campus had the pleasure of welcoming over 330 students for the academic year, all enrolled in the various programmes offered on campus. This cohort is uniquely diverse, representing 39 countries, marking a new record for the campus, which typically hosts students from 25 to 30 different nationalities.
During this orientation day, key topics were addressed to facilitate the students' integration. SKEMA’s teams presented academic information, an introduction to the Raleigh region and its famed North Carolina Research Triangle, as well as insights into the local economic community. The new arrivals were also introduced to the facilities they will have access to, both on SKEMA's campus and at its partner institution, North Carolina State University (NCSU).
A day dedicated to student associations
Beyond these practical details, the day highlighted the many opportunities offered by student associations, a central element of campus life. Students can join SKEMA associations as well as NCSU clubs, giving them access to a wide range of activities, with over 600 student groups available.
As part of the orientation day, a club fair was held, allowing students to meet association members, engage with their peers from SKEMA and NCSU, and discover the many extracurricular engagement opportunities. Among the clubs offered this year by SKEMA USA are:
- SK'ONNECT: Organising campus events, cultural outings, and weekend explorations.
- SKEMA Entrepreneurship Club: For students passionate about entrepreneurship and start-ups.
- SKEMA Consulting (a branch of SKEMA Conseil): Focused on consulting and strategy.
- SKEMA Finance Raleigh: For finance and investment enthusiasts.
- Data Science & Quantum AI Club: For those interested in the latest artificial intelligence and data science technologies.
