In response to economic threats, SKEMA equips its students with strategic intelligence skills
On 21 March, students from the MSc BCDI (Business Consulting & Digital Intelligence) programme at SKEMA Business School were awarded their certificate in economic security training by the Institut des Hautes Études du Ministère de l’Intérieur (IHEMI). The ceremony took place at the prestigious École Militaire in Paris, in the presence of Christophe Soullez, Director of the IHEMI, and Christophe Bisson, Academic Director of the MSc BCDI.
Throughout the semester, students who selected the “Economic Security” specialisation followed an intensive training programme structured around four core areas: economic intelligence and protection, cybersecurity, crisis management, and Web 3.0. To address these strategic issues, they benefitted from the expertise of high-ranking officials, corporate security leaders and specialist analysts. “This training aims to prepare students to support businesses and institutions in a world shaped by uncertainty and increasingly complex threats. It enables them to develop a sharp understanding of economic power dynamics and the capacity to act accordingly,” explains Christophe Bisson, Academic Director of the MSc.
"These strategic skills will be real assets"
The certification marks a new step in the students’ professional journey. It connects them to a network of experts capable of informing decision-making in a complex environment, where economic security has become a key lever of competitiveness and resilience. As Luca Temst, a student in the MSc BCDI, puts it: “In a constantly evolving world, where threats are reinvented every day, anticipating and protecting is no longer optional – it is urgent. Thanks to this outstanding programme, the result of a unique partnership between SKEMA and the IHEMI, we have acquired the tools to decode the modern challenges of economic security and to act professionally. These strategic skills will undoubtedly prove to be major assets throughout our careers.”
