SKEMA Business Day: Key partners discuss development of new skills

SKEMA’s partners were invited to participate in the SKEMA Business Day event organised on 20 October around the theme "The Future of Work: what prospects and impacts for organisations?". Through two workshops led by SKEMA professors Stéphanie Chasserio and Jean-François Detout, the executives who participated discussed new management issues in companies.

​After an introduction by Pascale Viala, director of SKEMA's Corporate Office, the representatives of different companies attended a talk by Fabien Seraidarian, director of scientific valuation at SKEMA. He spoke about the transformation and skills in companies and the new skills to be developed to retain employees. After this speech, Stéphanie Chasserio, associate professor, director of the Globalisation Academy, and co-head of the Women and Business Chair at SKEMA, moderated a workshop on "Diversity issues: managing the plurality of identities on a daily basis to enable inclusion". Emily Wiersch, a senior consultant in the Executive Education department at SKEMA, was the moderator.

 

Mixing work and conviviality

 

Another group of participants was able to attend a workshop on teleworking and the organisation of work hybridisation. The workshop's key speaker was Jean-François Detout, a professor at SKEMA, member of the Digitalisation Academy and director of the , and was moderated by Fabien Seraidarian. After these workshops, a retreat was organised to enable participants to share their thoughts on the topics discussed. 

The morning ended with a lunch cocktail. "SKEMA Business Day is a facilitator of discussions between companies and SKEMA. I would like to thank all the companies who represented us. We were delighted to welcome them for this beautiful event," said Pascale Viala.
